What will I do?

I am so sick of arguing, and fighting. The best, though not the easiest, solution seems to be to split up. But whenever I mention that, he threatens that I will be leaving alone. He will fight me for full custody, since I don't have a real job, no housing, and I only have time to study. What a pickle! But yet he says that if I'm only staying with him for the sake of the kids, that he doesn't want to stay together for that reason. Men. Why?
